When Taniya Hussain welcomed Stephanie Ball to Reflective Space, she opened a conversation many professionals rarely have out loud: Can you keep the job you love and still grow a business that matters?

Stephanie's answer comes from lived experience. She has spent more than a decade performing opera while teaching voice and coaching professionals. Her career didn't follow the standard path of quitting one world to start another. Instead, she built a bridge between them.

“Opera is a long game,” Stephanie said. “You learn discipline, presence, and patience — all the same skills I now teach to my clients.”

Early in her journey, she left a secure nonprofit job in St Louis to train in Denver with a mentor who taught both voice and NLP. That training planted the seed for her coaching work. When the pandemic hit and live performance stopped, Stephanie blended her sound-healing tools with mindset coaching, creating what she calls The LIGHT Formula: Leverage your mission, Integrate your strengths, Galvanize your efficiency, Honor your recovery, and Transform your relationships.

Each word describes a choice to live in alignment. Instead of chasing balance as a perfect schedule, Stephanie treats it as harmony between values, energy, and purpose.

Taniya connected the idea to her own consulting and social-work practice, noting how the online world often pressures people to abandon stability for passion. Both women agreed: financial security and personal meaning can coexist when guided by clarity.

“Rest isn't a reward,” Stephanie reminded viewers. “It's part of the work.”

They explored how recovery must be intentional — sleep, silence, and spiritual rhythm as daily habits, not luxury. Taniya shared her weekly Sabbath practice as an example of setting sacred boundaries around rest.

In the final segment, guest Samina joined to discuss integration across healing modalities — sound, NLP, Reiki, and leadership. Together, they reframed success as wholeness: using every skill, every experience, and every season of life to serve authentically.

Stephanie closed with a story from the opera stage: “If the lights aren't right, people can't see the story. Finding your light means having the courage to stand where you can be seen.”
